UNL reports $4.9 million savings

The University of Nebraska’s online news, Nebraska Today, recently  reported that since 2019, UNL students have saved an estimated $4.9 million on textbook costs and have replaced more than 80,000 textbooks with more affordable, accessible content.

The article notes that one component of their efforts is the Successful Teaching with Affordable Reources program, which involves the Office of the Vice Chancellor, Universitiy Libraries, Information Technology Services and the Center for Transformative Teaching. It noted that funding provided for this effort this year included $32,490 from the Women Investing in Nebraska grant to NU ITS.

WIN’s grant was made the the University of Nebraska ITS program, which impacts students on all campuses.
