Lower cost, easy access for students

Students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln are saving money on their text books and other course materials as instructors utilize open educational resources.

Since the program began in 2019, the UNL campus estimates students have saved approximately $3.5 million/ As noted in a UNL news story, a textbook’s price could degrease from as much as $318 in print form to $68 in digital format.

WIN’s 2019-2020 University grant of $84,000 was directed at the University of Nebraska ITS program that supports these shifts at UNL, University of Nebraska at Omaha and University of Nebraska at Kearney.  The University matched the WIN grant in this initiative to make a university degree more affordable.
