During a recent site visit, a grant seeker asked WIN members what motivated them to do what they do with WIN.
Grants Chair Cassie Kohl spoke of her experience and later shared her answer in writing:
“Given my age, there is no way I could make a charitable contribution of this size and impact on my own.
“I chose to get involved with the Grants Committee, in the beginning, to learn more about the process. However, along the way, I have learned so much about our state and the numerous amazing nonprofit and university projects taking place.
“In addition, I have learned from the other women on the committee about what they look for in an organization/project when deciding where to place their charitable dollars.”
