PBS NewsHour Segment on 2015 Grant recipient FoodBank of the Heartland

On July 25, PBS NewsHour featured a segment on meeting the hunger needs of children when school is out. It included an interview about the Kids Cruisin' Kitchen project with Susan Ogborn, Food Bank for the Heartland President and CEO. This program was supported by Women Investing In Nebraska (WIN) as part of the group’s 2015 nonprofit grant. WIN is a collective giving group operating in partnership with the foundation and the UNF Charitable Gift Fund to support women philanthropists through education, engagement and empowerment.

"Now that I'm in my 50s, a key truth has emerged, and it is simply and importantly this: The power and importance of women friends and colleagues in my life. Because when women join together through a shared passion for giving, the world will change for the better."
